In Schools


Children who eat well learn better and lead more active lives, preventing many diseases. HLC brings free SNAP-Ed nutrition lessons to school classrooms, youth groups, community groups and farmers markets throughout Lincoln County. All lessons are fun, interactive, and include a food tasting. Funded by Maine SNAP-Ed, Healthy Lincoln County provides the following programs:


Youth Programs Include:

  • Head Start and Pre-K: Eat Well, Play Hard
  • Grades K – 3: Pick a Better Snack
  • Grades 4 – 6: Nutrition to Grow On
  • Farmers Market Kids Club – 10 Tips for Youth
